| He can play many instruments,
is taking the saxophone diploma and has been working in music sphere since
he was a child.
First he learnt himself how to play the keyboard and then to improve his musical culture he has been attended the Academy of music for 4 years to learn playing the piano. ![]() He has been the director of the band in the village he lived in and played many concerts. Meanwhile he has been fascinated by folk and Celtic music and instruments and so decided to become a specialist. First he learnt how to dance and then he attended several courses and stages to learn how to play the whistle and the hurdy-gurdy. He further gave himself up to the diatonic accordion enjoying this a lot. Fully plunged into this kind of music, together with "MEIKENUT" group he got an extensive repertory about the folk dance also introducing many passages owing to Provençal and French popular tradition; about the listening music he has been playing a concert made up by passages from Biella town (which is the group's native land) and a Christmas concert made up by Provençal songs about the Nativity of Christ. In that period he made some new compositions with the aim of enriching the popular tradition music. With
"MEIKENUT" group he acted several performances
during Italian and foreign festivals and recorded a CD which is titled
"Sons et suggestions d'autrefois" ("Ancient sounds and suggestions").Meanwhile he attended the saxophone classic courses, passed his exams and got the lower diploma at the Academy of music in Como getting full marks. During his way in the music world he met some musicians, started performing with them and became to take part in other musical projects: CANTARKAICOS, a theatre performance (songs and music taken from the imaginary world of Canavese) made up by Mauro Ginestrone, where he plays the hurdy-gurdy and "Grande Orchestre des Alpes" ("Big orchestra of Alps"), an orchestra of 50 musicians coming from Alps villages. His music fantasy, inspiration and strong virtuosity sense make him able to develop with the diatonic accordion a concert for soloist accordion and so to make some new compositions moving towards contemporary music sonorities and emphasizing the best and perhaps unknown qualities of this wonderful instrument. ![]() He took also part in the composition and arrangement of the music played during the theatre performance which is titled "The name of the village" made up by Renato D'Urtica and with the actress Manuela Tamietti. He has been attended many stages in Italy and in France and now is giving courses and laboratories about the dance and instruments owing to the popular tradition and music preliminary study lessons for children. |
